SERVICE USERS: Kats n Dogs staff have a legal duty of care to all animals in our care , by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979 to provide for its needs in a reasonable way – Young & vulnerable animals have a set minimum amount of visits/ hours between visits set by us to assure the health & safety of the animals in our care. We will refuse any booking that does not meet our requirements, if extra time is needed for us to provide this care due to hot weather, snowy conditions, or severe storms you will be invoiced upon your return. This invoice will be payable within 7 days. 

Terms & Conditions 

Kats n Dogs reserve the right to amend this Notice at any time and your use of the website and / or services will represent your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. We also ask you to tick a box on the booking form that you have read these terms & conditions. We, therefore, recommend that each time you access our website you read these terms and conditions.

Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care agree to give a quote before any service begins & a receipt if required of any payments received. Pet Transport Services is quoted at the time of booking, all transport fees are required before the animal is boarded into the vehicle. 

ALL quoted payments are due at the time of service, purchase or before Pet Care Visit begins.

Early Returns: It is our policy that if you require to cancel a Pet Care Visit for any reason a line of credit will be given for you to use for any of our services. no refund of money will be given.

Public Holidays: We do not charge extra for weekends on any of our services,or for public holidays.

 Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care will provide Safe equipment/supplies needed for the care of client’s pet(s), including but not limited to a sturdy well-fitting harness (halter, collar, etc.)  A lead rope or leash for walks or in case of emergencies, food treats, dog shampoo, pet towels, outdoor pooper-scooper bags.  *This is NOT for Pet sitting/care home visits where clients need to supply ALL their pet’s own food/ equipment.

Client Key Handover: It is preferred that clients supply keys at our free meet & greet. If unable to do so alternative arrangements to be discussed during the consultation.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the staff can gain easy entrance access to your pet during every service. It is the client’s responsibility to fix faulty locks, doors difficult to open and remove any obstruction to gate or house entry. Kats n Dogs are not liable for any damages due to persisting faults/ conditions.

Our client held keys are securely kept and are identified only by a nickname system not an address.

Most regular clients prefer to take advantage of our key storage service. The keys remain the property of the client at all times.

For short term clients, Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care can leave the keys in the agreed place at your home on completion of service. Clients are responsible for pet-proofing the house, balconies and yard, and the security of fences/gates/latches. Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care will not be responsible for the safety of any pet/s, or held liable for the death, injury, disappearance, or legal consequences of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.

Job Sharing / Third party: Kats n Dogs including any paid or unpaid staff member will not be held responsible for any loss, cost, damage or liability at all by a Third party. Third party means a person who is not a hired pet sitter, including but not limited to a roommate, neighbour ,family member or significant other of a pet sitter or pet owner, or any other person providing animal care during the period that is stated on the booking form by pets owner and in which Kats n Dogs has been hired to provide a pet sitting/care service. We encourage the use of security camera and believe they provide peace of mind for all parties. We will contact other hired pet sitters/ house sitters/ carers if needed to check information and share care needs of pets if we deem it necessary.  

Release of Liability - Acknowledge and fully understand that pet care involves risks including, but not limited to, the escape of the pet(s), property damage, and serious injury, permanent disability, and/or death of the pet(s) from the natural causes, the acts of said pet(s), the acts of other pet(s) and/or the acts of others. These risks may result in action, inaction, or negligence. Further, there may be other risks not known, or not reasonably foreseeable, including but not limited to disability or death. Understand that visit times are approximate and subject to change based on the needs of all pets under Kats n Dogs care. You entrust Kats n Dogs staff / unpaid family memebrs to use the best judgment in caring for my pet(s), including, if necessary, arranging for a back-up pet sitter to take over duties as outlined in this agreement. You agree to hold Kats n Dogs harmless for consequences related to such decisions. Understand that animals are unpredictable and that Kats n Dogs cannot be held responsible for mishaps including, but not limited to, any pet(s)’s refusal to take medication, escaping, biting, eating or destroying household items, damage to the inside or outside of the home, and personal injury or accidental death. Understand that in the event of inclement weather, natural disaster, or emergency, the designated staff is entrusted to use his or her best judgment in caring for my pet(s). Neither the staff member nor Kats n Dogs shall be held responsible for consequences related to any of his or her decisions.

Animal & Human Endangerment:  Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care Services may use their discretion to use a soft nylon muzzle on dogs in our care or stop/suspend the service at any time that a pet poses a danger to the safety or health of itself, other pets, other people or the staff.

If concerns prevent the staff member from continuing to service your pet, the Owner will be contacted immediately for alternate care arrangements. Kats n Dogs are not liable for any self-inflicted wounds that are caused by itching, scratching, biting, gnawing, etc. due to allergies or any other type of pre-existing condition or acts of nature including Snake bites/ insect bites/injuries. If your pet fights with other animals, it is the owner’s financial responsibility.  

Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care has a policy on confidentiality that states that all staff are to uphold the client's right to a confidential service. The policy also states that no client’s information is to be disclosed to other persons outside of the business without the expressed permission of the client. Photos will be taken to send to you the owner while your pet is using our service.

You give permission to use photos or videos of your pets on-line or in advertising materials. No personal details will be revealed alongside these photos and photos or videos of pet sitting/care clients and their pets will not be posted online or used until the pet care visit service is completed. Other words we wont post photos or videos of your pets while you are away and they are home alone - we will wait until you are back from your holidays.  You may be ‘tagged’ on Facebook in Adventure Dog Walk photos.

Property Damage/Loss: Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care is not responsible for any damage to property of the client or others unless such damage is caused by the negligent act of the staff member. Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care accepts no responsibility for loss to the premises if other individuals have access to a client’s home, or if the home is not properly secured by others during the service period.

Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care will take the appropriate measures to care for your pot plants/lawn/garden however cannot be held responsible for wilted, dead or otherwise unhealthy plants.

The client is to ensure all indoor pot plants are placed on a waterproofed surface; Kats n Dogs staff is not responsible for water damaged areas.

Transport: Kats n dogs staff treat all animals with care and respect when transporting they are handled under the understanding that Kats n Dogs / all staff paid and unpaid will not be held responsible for any loss, death, illness, injury or accident due to any cause whatsoever.

Medication:  If your pet(s) require medication, Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care must be fully informed and equipped to cater for your pet/s medical needs.  We have experience in administering insulin shots, subcutaneous fluids, and other medications and are happy to do so as per instructions  It is the Pet Owner’s responsibility to ensure enough medication is supplied for the duration of the period the medication is required whilst your pet is in our care. It is the owners responsibility to provide full dietary or allergy information on each pet using our services.Kats n Dogs will attempt to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result.

Kats n Dogs home & pet care fully disinfects all equipment & trailers/ vehicles with Vet Grade F10 disinfected regularly.  It is not Kats n Dogs staff policy to require vaccination certificates for animals using any of our services but During transport & walks animals will encounter other animals / public places used by other animals.

It is the owner’s responsibility to assure their pets are up to date with all vaccination & worming.

Emergency Veterinarian Services: In case of pet injury, suspected snake bite or any emergencies Kats n Dogs Staff will immediately notify the Owner. If unable to contact, the backup contact details will be used & all efforts will be made to continue to contact the pet’s owner but you, the pet owner gives permission for Kats n Dogs to use their judgment in whether to take the animal to the vet clinic or not. 

Kats n Dogs Home & Pet Care Services are authorized by the client to apply First Aid Treatment to their pets and seek any emergency veterinarian assistance needed during pet sitting/care visits/walks/transport the veterinarian as chosen by us is

Kat n Dogs Home & Pet Care has Public liability cover & Pet Transportation cover for damage to property/pets or personal injury as a result of the Staff member’s negligence whilst the Pet is under our care.The client as the agreed pets owner will be liable for any vet treatment cost of any injuries their animal causes while out on adventure walks/playtimes,pet transport and other services booked with Kats n Dogs. 

We recommend talking to your vet or our above-listed vet about snake bite treatments and the opitions if your pet was bitten by a snake as the biggest issue with snake bite treatment is the cost – it is expensive and generally starts from $1000 / $1200 and increases depending on level on intensive care/ventilation and extra vials of antivenin that may be required.

It is a good idea to discuss the potential costs with family members and what you would like in an emergency situation so you're not having to make a really hard call on the spot. Especially if your not around due to being on holiday.


If you the client is not financially stable at the moment and are concerned that you may not be able to afford Veterinary treatment, you could apply for Vetpay online – you need not use any credit that you are approved for, but you have it there if you need it. 

Kats n Dogs will not be held liable if any client's dog is injured in a dog attack and require ongoing medical treatment. The pet owner, if another client of Kats n Dogs will be responsible to pay for medical treatments. 

PET FOOD : We state all products are sold for animal consumption only. We strive to ensure that our products are described as accurately as possible, however, we do not warrant that the description is accurate. Due to several suppliers and stock levels, some items may be changed or amended but we will always be equal in value. 
Images have been provided for illustrative purposes only , Even though we do try to take real pictures we do not guarantee that any image will reproduce in true colour nor that any given image will reflect or portray the full outlook or options relating to that product.

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD)  We try to ensure that our price list is current. Our price list can be accessed from our  Pet Food page and facebook we reserve the right to amend our prices at any time. 

We have efpos /tap & Go/ bank transfer available as payment options along with cash none of your bank account information will be kept by Kats n Dogs.  We take due care with this information; however, in providing us with such information you accept that we are not liable for its misuse due to error in transmission or virus or malware.

All complaints or concerns need to be given to Kats n Dogs in writing via email or facebook page message. 

Writing down your complaint is a useful way to put all of your information together and clarify your concerns. It also means we have a clear record of the complaint and Our reply. We reserve the right to end a conversation if we see no amicable ending possible. Kats n Dogs reserve the right to refuse service to any client.

By participating in our Rewards Card Program, you agree to the Terms and Conditions.

Upon buying ANY PRODUCT IN STORE, if you present one of our rewards Card, one (1) stamp/mark will be given in one transaction. You cannot receive stamps for any prior purchases.

Customer needs to hand over their card to be signed by us when making a purchase of any amount on any of our products which will equal one circle signed or stamped by us. 

In order to redeem, you must present a valid rewards Card at the point of sale at the cowra store.We are happy to keep your rewards card in store labeled with your or your pets name so you don't have to worry about remembering it when you come to shop with us.
A full stamped/marketed rewards card can be redeemed for 10% off your total, upon presentation of five (5) valid stamps/marks by us, on the Card Holder’s current or next visit, at the cowra store. The Card Holder must forfeit the five (5) stamps/marks on the valid rewards Card, upon redemption.
